Dr. John Kyndt is a biochemist and entrepreneur who is bridging science and business by turning scientific discoveries into real-life sustainable innovations. He has a strong interest in emerging fields in the biosciences, particularly in the areas of sustainability, renewable energy, and human health. He has over 10 years of research experience in microbiology, photobiology, algae cultivation, water purification and renewable energy. His recent scientific work is in the field of adapting algae for enhanced biofuel production.
He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Ghent in Belgium and a degree in Entrepreneurship from the McGuire Entrepreneurship Center (Eller College of Management, University of Arizona). Dr. Kyndt is currently an Assistant Professor and the Program Director for Professional Sciences and Sustainability Management at Bellevue University. His scientific passion and entrepreneurial spirit has focused his research on solving current global scientific problems and providing economically viable, sustainable solutions.
